• Responsible for the governance, and management to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company's financial risk.                                                                                     
• Develops financial risk management tools and practices to analyze and report on financial and Strategic risks and to manage risk according to an enterprise risk management framework and relevant policies.                                                                                         
• Ensures the organization's financial and strategic risk management policies limits, and strategies are in compliance with applicable regulations, rating agency standard and strategic imperatives of the organization. 
• Oversees or monitors all financial and strategic risk management activities of the organization.                                                                                 
• Monitors and analyzes financial and strategic risks within the company's business units and on a corporate basis.                               
• Review and monitoring of Financial policies plans and procedures, and or organizational structures designed to provide reasonable assurance that 1) Financial Systems are aligned with the achievement of business objectives 2) Undesired events are deleted, prevented and corrected and 3) Financial and Strategic risks are managed appropriately.                                             

Prepare and constantly review:

• Financial & Strategic Risk Management Framework,
• Financial & Strategic Risk Management Policies, and procedures,
• Financial & Strategic Limits and Monitoring, Prepare and maintain SSGC’s Risk Management Policy in line with local regulatory requirements,
• Set up the risk appetite framework for SSGC in respect of financial risks and ensure that risks are within agreed risk appetite, monitor breaches and report any breach to the Risk committee.
