| Job Description: |
- Greets customers at the cashier window pleasantly and professionally.
- Computes customer bills.
- Receives cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers; records the amount received.
- Assume responsibility for the cash register and cash control to ensure that all amounts are correct
- Makes change and issues receipts to customers.
- Provides refunds or credit to customers for returned merchandise, or as directed by the manager.
- Reconciles cash drawer daily.
- Works with department managers to stay abreast of new products and services offered, their features and value, and any price changes.
- Reconciles cash purchase statements.
- Maintains a professional appearance.
- Other tasks as assigned.
